About Us

My name is Jordan Harris and I've just recently graduated highschool. My schooling was done at our kitchen table and P.E. was done in the tobacco patch. As a young girl I've always loved going to the field with my dad. I remember the very first day he put me on a tobacco setter as and eight year old, and how important it made me feel. I wanted to do my best and make him proud. As the years went by, he'd advance me to other tasks such as driving tractor, doing some of the book work, raising and selling corgie puppies, managing my sweet corn business, growing my own tobacco and putting me in charge of the new strawberry patch. He has always been open to my new ideas and encourages me to carry them out, that is after some thorough research.

I also enjoy the simple things. I value the time spent with my mom, picking green beans, making strawberry jelly, peeling apples and adding a few bulbs to the flower garden. I enjoy riding my horse down by the old church at soldier creek on a cool October afternoon. I love swinging from that big oak tree in the side yard. On a hot summer day after work, I'll still swim with my little sisters in the pond. All joys of being a farm kid.

I still have much to learn, but the hands on education is priceless. I hope to continue working alongside my dad Keith and brother Jake in the years to come. The farm has taught me the value of hard work and responsibility, it's shaped much of my character and has given me deep roots and a love for agriculture.
